The “True Light Girls’ College 50^th Anniversary Open Day 2022-2023” was held on 17^th-18^th February 2023, with approximately 2500 students, parents and alumnae paying a visit to this memorable event. There were numerous exhibitions such as interactive activities, students’ busking shows, educational games and information booths, which offered visitors a glimpse of our learning atmosphere and culture. The Open Day also comprised a wide variety of brilliant performances, such as the Chinese Orchestra, the Latin and Hungarian dance, the House Cheering Team Performance, the percussion and choir singing, which showcased our students’ musical, aesthetic and sports talents.

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of our school, the 50th Anniversary Walkathon Kick-off Ceremony was held on 5^th November 2022 (Saturday), initiating a fantastic assortment of celebration programmes spanning the whole year. The ceremony commenced with a speech presented by our Principal Mr. Tam Kim Hung, who welcomed the guests to join this exciting and meaningful walkathon. We were also honoured to have invited our alumnae Ms. Woo Man, Jessie, Chief School Development Officer (Yau Tsim Mong District) of the Education Bureau, to deliver an inspiring speech. During her speech, she encouraged her sisters to be persevering and resilient in the face of challenges. The speeches were followed by our students’ performances, including A Capella performance, Mongolian and Hungarian dances, and choir singing. We felt privileged to welcome all of our guests to officiate at the ceremony and witness this historic moment.

The kick-off ceremony was followed by the Walkathon that took place in our school, with the aim of raising funds. Our special guests, alumnae, parents, students, staff members actively participated in this activity. The celebration programme ended in a joyful and sacred atmosphere.
